In his youth, Dennis was a competitive tennis player who once participated in a tournament in Hong Kong. His passion for travel and sports led him to earn a Master's degree in Leisure Studies, followed by a career in Digital & Tech.
After earning Master's degrees in Business Economics and Leisure Studies at the University of Tilburg, Dennis began his career in consulting. Soon after, he became the first and only digital marketer at a Dutch retail bank. This experience ignited his entrepreneurial spirit. Dennis founded a consulting agency, which was later incorporated into the newly established strategy unit of the largest web agency in the Netherlands. He then left the company to set up and lead an agile delivery center and innovation lab for HCL Technologies. Following this, he held a (managing) partner position, leading the management consulting and business agility practices at Xebia. He subsequently became a director and member of the Dutch senior leadership team at Ordina (now Sopra Steria, a global consulting and technology service provider).
For over 15 years, Dennis held roles where he was responsible for the P&L and built and managed high-performing teams. Additionally, he served as a trusted advisor and program lead in many large (strategic) transformation projects within international and multi-vendor ecosystems.
With over 25 years of experience in the digital and technology industry, Dennis has witnessed how technology-enabled innovation and digital transformation can empower businesses and enhance the value offered to their clients. However, to achieve truly exceptional outcomes, exceptional human talent and the right leadership are essential to drive change. As he has learned and advocated over the years: even in a digital world, it is always about people.
This belief led Dennis to join Leaders Trust, where he focuses entirely on helping clients select, build, and lead their high-performance teams. Once again, he embraced entrepreneurship as part of a boutique firm with a global reach.
On a personal note, Dennis is married and has two daughters. He enjoys sports (tennis, golf), is a foodie and wine lover, a binge-watcher and movie enthusiast. He loves exploring the unknown and traveling. In 2024, he traveled around the world with his family.
